Residential Support Worker – Children’s Services

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Residential Support Worker, you’ll be playing a key role in the lives of children and young people by:
- Creating a safe and supportive environment that encourages growth and development
- Engaging in fun, therapeutic, and educational activities within the home and local community
- Providing emotional and practical support, including assistance with daily routines and personal care
- Supporting young people to learn essential life skills – from cooking to managing money
- Advocating for the best interests of each child and promoting positive outcomes
- Ensuring the home environment meets safeguarding and welfare standards
Shift Availability:
This is a zero-hour/casual contract, ideal for candidates seeking flexibility.
Shifts are available Monday to Friday across the following hours:
- Day shifts: 7:00am – 10:30pm
- Afternoon to evening shifts: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Night shifts: 10:00pm – 10:00am
- No weekend or bank holiday work required!
What We’re Looking For:
- Be passionate about supporting children and young people
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Be confident engaging with children and managing challenging behaviours
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Be flexible and reliable with your availability
